Hands-on cultural workshops
From calligraphy and Tai Chi to traditional crafts and cooking, students experience Chinese culture firsthand. These creative workshops make learning memorable while deepening their understanding of Chinese heritage.
Safety and Full Support
Student safety is our top priority. All outings include professional guides, insurance, and a 1:6 staff-to-child supervision ratio, which support to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable summer experience.

FAQ
Can my child join just one week?
Absolutely. Each week is a complete, self-contained programme. That said, children who stay for multiple weeks build on their vocabulary and confidence cumulatively — and unlock our multi-week discounts!
Do students need prior Chinese knowledge?
No prior Chinese is required. Our program welcomes both beginners and students with some Mandarin experience.
Do you provide lunch?
No. Students should bring their own packed cold lunch each day.
Is transportation provided?
No. Parents are responsible for daily drop-off and pick-up.
Do you provide an official invoice (fapiao)?
Yes. An official invoice (fapiao) can be issued upon request.
What happens if a student misses a day?
Due to the immersive nature of the program, missed days cannot be rescheduled, but teachers will help students catch up.
What happens during the city outing? Is it safe?
Every Thursday, your child joins aguided outing to a carefully selected Shanghai landmark or neighbourhood. All outings are led by experienced bilingual staff, and we maintain a 1:6 adult-to-child ratio. Children wear Mandarin Inn identification lanyards and receive full travel insurance coverage. Parents receive the outing itinerary in advance every Wednesday evening.
What is the Friday Showcase?
Every Friday afternoon (approximately 2:30–4:00 PM) we open the doors to parents and family members. Children share what they've created and learned during the week — whether it's a map, a performance, or a craft project — with a short Mandarin component. It's one of the highlights of the week for both children and families!
